Gunther has impressed both the fans and the WWE officials with his performance since his main roster call up last year. It appears that things are only going to get better for the Ring General.
The former NXT UK Champion made his main roster debut in April 2022. He won the Intercontinental Championship in June. The 35-year-old has since worked hard to bring the lost prestige back to the IC title, and he has been one of the most impressive champions across the wrestling world.
WrestleVotes provided an update on Gunther’s reception to GiveMeSport. They noted that everyone behind the scene loves the Austrian star:
‘Triple H loves him. They all love him ever since he came into his own at Clash at the Castle. I’m not just talking about Triple H, Road Dogg is big on him, Jason Jordan really likes him.’

According to the report, WWE is expected to strap the rocket to the back of Gunther this Summer after WrestleMania 39. Once the world titles are split, it won’t be a surprise if Gunther ends up winning one:
‘Once WWE gets two World titles, you double the amount of people in the main event. Gunther is ready to step up. I expect by the summer to see him at the top of the card. I wouldn’t be surprised if he wins a World title. He might be next in line.’
