A surprise appearance from a Superstar took place on this week’s tapings of WWE NXT which will air on USA Network next week.
According to a new report from WrestlingNewsCo, Ilja Dragunov made an appearance on the show and will be based there going forward.
“Former United Kingdom Champion Ilja Dragunov made a surprise appearance during tonight’s tapings that will air next week” the site began.
“Dragunov is a great addition to the roster because he is a fantastic wrestler. For fans that have never seen him, check out matches he’s had with wrestlers such as Walter/Gunther” Co added.
“As seen in the photos below, Dragunov was involved in a segment with NXT Champion Bron Breakker and JD McDonagh to apparently set up a match for a future show” the site concluded.

This makes perfect sense, seeing as NXT UK was essentially shut down recently. Dragunov is one of the names that Triple H and Shawn Michaels are big fans of.
It remains to be seen whether or not Dragunov gets a genuine run at the NXT Championship against Bron Breakker, but it would certainly make sense.
