WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler is still struggling with his health.
The wrestling veteran donned many hats during his active years. From being one of the most-known wrestlers of the 80s, to his transition to a full-time commentator in late 90s, Lawler contributed to the business in many different ways.
The 73-year-old was hospitalized after having a stroke back in February 2023. While he has since been released from the hospital, the King still has a long way to go to regain his full health.
Jerry Lawler is not out of the woods yet
During the latest episode of his podcast (H/t WrestlingInc), Jerry Lawler’s longtime commentary partner and friend Jim Ross provided some updates on his health. He revealed that Lawler is still struggling:
‘I talked to Lawler just the other day. He’s still struggling with his health. He’s got good doctors, and they think they have identified many of the issues, but he’s not out of the woods yet in terms of achieving a good level of health.”
Ross said that Lawler’s voice starts off a little bit weak but it gets stronger as they start sharing stories and start laughing:
“As always when we talk, his voice starts off a little bit weak and then it gets stronger as he talks and we laugh and we tell stories with each other.’
