WWE Superstar John Cena has reacted to the announcement that Steve Austin will be heading to WWE WrestleMania 38 to confront Kevin Owens.

The announcement was made during a video that was released on social media yesterday, and now the former WWE Champion Cena has given his opinion on the situation.

Cena tweeted: “Never in the history of #StoneColdFriday did I think I’d see this!! Excited for @SteveAustinBSR, excited 4 the @WWE Universe and I’m excited for #WrestleMania!!!!”

As of writing, John Cena is not expected to be featured at the WrestleMania event in Dallas, Texas. This might change, but it is unlikely that he will appear due to scheduling and filming conflicts.

There is already a huge amount of mega bouts confirmed for the WrestleMania 38 card, and the Austin confrontation may well help ticket sales for the two-night event at the start of April.

Here is the current line-up for WrestleMania 38:

  • WWE Raw Women’s Championship Match: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Bianca Belair
