WWE legend John Cena recently revealed a time when The Rock was able to calm him before a “scary” moment in his life.
Speaking to GQ, Cena revealed that his former WWE in-ring rival helped calm his nerves before his audition to play Steven in the movie Trainwreck back in 2014.
‘The audition process is scary for me, like it is for most people. It is a business of failure” Cena began, discussing his early days in Hollywood.
“You’ve gotta be used to getting told you’re not the right fit, and I really wanted this one. And, deadpan, Dwayne was just like, ’˜Just be yourself, man. They called you in for a reason. Just be who you are.’ And I was” Cena concluded.
There has been talk of The Rock or Cena potentially making a return to the company as early as WrestleMania 38, but both are set to be filming at that time in April 2022.
