John Cena makes BIG STATEMENT about WWE future

Last updated

John Cena has confirmed that he will have to end his WWE run as soon as the SAG-AFTRA strike ends.

The 16-time world champion has been enjoying an extended run with WWE due to the strike of actors and writers in Hollywood. He has primarily been involved in a feud with The Bloodline since his return on September 1.

The latest Fastlane PPV saw him continuing this rivalry. He teamed up with LA Knight to face Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa in the semi-main event of the show. The team of Cena and Knight picked up the victory in this bout.

John Cena confirms WWE future if SAG strike ends

The duo were part of the press conference that took place after the PPV event. When asked about his future if the SAG strike ends, John Cena mentioned how he can’t continue wrestling if he has to go back to Hollywood:

“I’ve made it clear that you can’t do both because of the liability insurance. If I were to try and juggle both, that’s very selfish because I would put a whole lot of people in the movie business out of work if something were to happen to me.”

The former world champion revealed that he actually stopped a project in the middle due to the strike. He will have to go back as soon as it ends:

“Yes, I stopped a project in the middle of it — I can’t even talk about the project because of the strike, but we’re in the middle of it. As soon as we get back to work, we go back to work. I don’t control any of that. I’m crossing my fingers and I hope we can find a resolve everyone is happy with. For right now, I feel this is the best way I can help. To come back home to my family.”
