WWE SummerSlam 2022 takes place tonight, and many fans are hoping to see former NXT Champion Johnny Gargano make an appearance.
In an update to the situation, we now know that Gargano is in fact not backstage at the event itself and will not be appearing tonight.
A recent report from PWInsider confirmed the news, which will surely disappoint a fair few fans hoping to see Johnny Wrestling.
The site revealed: “Since we are getting a TON of emails asking, Johnny Gargano is not backstage at Summerslam and at no point, was he scheduled to be there.
“So, if you were part of the contingent hoping this week’s WWE changes meant Gargano was appearing tonight live in Nashville, that isn’t in the cards for tonight.”
