WWE RAW Superstar Kevin Owens was reportedly set to cut a live promo on this week’s episode of SmackDown before it was cut.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, Owens was set to appear in front of the live crowd to cut a promo regarding WrestleMania 38.

“Kevin Owens was listed for an in-ring promo internally, but a video package ran instead. It was to be produced by Jason Jordan” the site revealed.

Owens will be confronted by Stone Cold Steve Austin at the event as part of a KO Show segment where Austin is expected to get physical.

The video package that the company ran in place of a KO appearance worked well, but having Owens on the show wouldn’t have hurt.

This will arguably be one of the most anticipated elements of WrestleMania 38, with WWE hyping it as Austin’s ‘return’ after 19 years.

We all know that he has got physical since then, but this might be the most we’ll ever see out of the Rattlesnake again.
