WrestleMania 38: An Unforgettable Match against Steve Austin
WrestleMania 38 marked a milestone in Owens’ career. He faced off against the legendary Steve Austin in the main event of night one.
What made this bout even more special was the fact that this was Austin’s first match in nearly two decades. The anticipation leading up to the event was immense, and the match certainly did not disappoint’‹.
Reflecting on the experience in an interview with Spencer Love of Love Wrestling, Owens stated, ‘There’s really no words to describe either experience (comparing Mania 38 and 39). I look back on both of these nights, and I kind of can’t believe they happened, that I found myself in that situation, in that spot, getting to do that, and the circumstances on both years were just so incredible.”
However, Owens did share that if he had to choose between the two, the match against Austin just edges out the other. ‘I think it’s still more unbelievable to me that I wrestled Stone Cold Steve Austin 19 years after his last match in the main event of WrestleMania,’ he added’‹.

Kevin Owens on WrestleMania 39: Tag Team Triumph
Fast forward to WrestleMania 39, and Owens once again found himself in the main event. This time, however, he wasn’t alone.
Alongside his partner Sami Zayn, Owens took on The Usos, consisting of Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso. The duo managed to come out victorious, clinching the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles and further cementing Owens’ legacy in the world of professional wrestling’‹.
It’s worth noting that Steve Austin has not returned to the ring since his defeat against Owens at WrestleMania 38. Meanwhile, Owens and Zayn have maintained their reign as the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions’‹.
