Kofi Kingston has gotten the chance to work with many up-and-coming stars in NXT after The New Day won the NXT tag team championships in December.
There is one team in particular that the wrestling veteran thinks is doing great and will leave fans ‘pleasantly surprised’ when they finally get called up to the main roster.
The former WWE champion was recently interviewed by Under The Ring (H/t Fightful) podcast. Speaking about NXT tag teams, he offered big praise of the team of Elton Prince and Kit Wilson, known as Pretty Deadly:
“I feel like they’re so incredibly special with the way they’re able to connect with the crowd, even if it’s a way that the crowd is repulsed by them [laughs]. You know? It’s not an easy thing to do. It’s very difficult to go out there and get people emotionally invested in what you do and they got it man. They got it.”

Kingston said when the time is right, the young stars will make their mark on the main roster and people are going to be impressed:
“Hopefully, when the time is right, they come up to the main roster and the WWE universe is going to be pleasantly surprised’¦the people that are not familiar with their work are going to be very impressed, for sure.”
There have been rumors of Pretty Deadly potentially heading up to the main roster as part of Maximum Male Models, but these are still just rumors at this point.
