Kofi Kingston has been a part of the WWE roster for quite some time. He signed with the company back in 2006, and the former WWE champion has reached the stage where he is considered a veteran in the locker room.

At 41 years of age, he has more active years behind him than in front, but the New Day member is not ready to say when he will hang up his boots just yet.

The WWE star recently appeared on the Cheap Heat podcast (H/t WrestleZone). He revealed that he has a couple of years left in his current contract:

‘I don’t know, man. I got a couple years left on my contract. I never say like, ’˜Okay, in two years I’m gonna be done.’ This industry is so unique and so fun, and it’s such a short period of time in our lives that I know that it’s very hard to walk away.”

Kofi Kingston also commented on the bond between him and fellow New Day members Xavier Woods and Big E. He said that he would love to continue working with the two even after he retires from active competition:

“I think, when it’s all said and done, we definitely want to continue to work with each other on an entertainment platform. Whatever that looks like, we’re figuring that out. But we take it one day at a time, and we’ll see what happens when the contract expires, and we’ll cross that bridge when it comes.’

Hopefully, we’ll still get the chance to see Kingston in the ring for the company for a long time in the future, but he might decide to retire sooner than expected.
