In the wrestling world, age can often be a determining factor in how a wrestler’s character evolves over time. One such evolution was witnessed by LA Knight, who signed with WWE in February 2021 after spending years in IMPACT and NWA as Eli Drake’‹.

Knight’s transition from a leading NXT wrestler to a manager named Max Dupri left many fans puzzled. During an interview with Alex McCarthy of the Daily Mail, Knight candidly discussed the unexpected shift in his career.

Knight confessed he had been pushing for the return of his LA Knight persona but was unsure about the possibility.

The situation was complicated due to the larger audience that had gotten accustomed to his Dupri persona and knew nothing about LA Knight.
