Social media megastar Logan Paul recently confirmed that he had signed a multiple-year deal with WWE that would see him as an in-ring Superstar.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed what the company is apparently ‘expecting’ of the star in terms of revenue.

‘Logan Paul’s not being counted on to pull big pay-per-view numbers” Meltzer would begin on his long-running podcast.

“He’s just being counted on to get the curiosity of people to watch television, which is completely different and may work” Meltzer added.

“We’ll see. We’ll see if, you know, I guess the big thing is if they can get the people in Tampa to cheer him” Meltzer concluded.

It’s really interesting that the company are hoping that Paul will bring new viewers to the television product of WWE RAW.

It’s interesting because the demographic of fans that Paul has are not really TV-type people. WWE has been trying to get younger audiences to watch for some time, could this finally be the answer?
