WWE RAW Tag Team Champion Matt Riddle reportedly donated to former WWE referee Drake Wuertz’s political campaign.

Looking at the Florida Department of State campaign finance database, you can see that there are a number of pro wrestling performers who have donated to the campaign.

Wuertz is currently a candidate for the Republican nomination for Florida State Representative in the 30th district.

The former WWE referee and deathmatch wrestler has been extremely vocal about COVID-19 mask mandates over the past year, causing huge controversy backstage.

Despite the controversy, major names such as Riddle have donated to the campaign to get Wuertz into office.

The public records also show that Karrion Kross/Killer Kross, Elias, Bobby Fish, Oney Lorcan, and Jimmy Jacobs have also donated.

Wuertz himself has thus far contributed $3,605.14 to the campaign. The total raised amounted to 161 contributions at a total of $17,733.56.

David Bixenspan originally reported the information, and had this to add regarding Elias: “Subscribe to Fightful Select for details on whatever Sean found out, but I’ll throw in my own freebie: Elias donated to Drake Wuertz’s campaign for the Florida state house. (I’m not kidding. It’s in the public filings.).”
