Mercedes Mone/Sasha Banks is one of the names that fans are hoping to see in either AEW or WWE at some point, but what is the latest?
According to a new report from Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful Select (shoutout SRS!), “the once working plans for AEW and Mercedes are no longer working plans,” he said on a recent Fightful Q&A on Patreon.
One of our more tenured sources told us earlier this week that AEW appeared to pretty much be off the table for Mone, stating: “Sasha Banks/Mercedes Mone returning to WWE I’m told is now way more likely than her joining AEW. Not to say it’s considered a go right this second, but it’s very much something WWE are considering, heavily.”
Banks left the company when she appeared to have issues with WWE Creative and Vince McMahon, although when asked about that at a recent convention she was very angry at the idea that the internet knows more than her (which to be fair to her is completely the right mentality).

Whether or not Triple H is able to get Banks back in the company, which looks a LOT more possible than it was under McMahon, remains to be seen.
It is believed that WWE has made a monetary offer to Banks as of writing, but we have not been able to confirm that properly at this time.
The Royal Rumble would certainly be a great place to bring her back, especially with Charlotte Flair now out for at least 9 months with injury.
