WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley recently claimed that the company is fooling themselves if they don’t see AEW as competition.

Speaking on the Foley is Pod podcast, the former Cactus Jack said that All Elite is absolutely competition to the company and they should be cognizant of that.

‘When people say ’˜are you a WWE loyalist?’ I say, first and foremost, I’m for the boys” the former WWE Champion began.

“And when I say boys, I mean collectively, the men and the women I want what’s best for the talent and ultimately, I do believe that what’s best for the talent is best for the company” Foley added.

“So, I love WWE, but I love the fact that there’s a strong competition. If they’re claiming it’s not competition, they’re fooling themselves” the former Mankind concluded.

It will certainly be interesting to see how the two companies do competitively going forward, with WWE still at this point drawing almost double what AEW pulls on SmackDown compared to Dynamite every Wednesday.
