Don’t expect to see the New Day breaking up anytime soon.
The trio of Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E have been one of the longest-tenured factions in WWE. The group was originally put together in 2014. While there have been periods where one or two members of the faction have been involved in separate storylines, the trio has always come back together.
Other groups from the time period such as The Shield and The Wyatt Family have broken up and even reunited on multiple occasions since then. So it’s impressive that The New Day has managed to not let the individual egos come in the way of their friendship.

The New Day: The Blood Oath
Kofi Kingston recently talked about the group’s impressive history and future on The Battleground podcast (H/t Wrestlingnews.co). He revealed that they have taken a blood oath to never break up:
‘You already know that we are and we always will be. We took an oath, a blood oath, and we said that we will never break up. If someone tries to break us up and drive a wedge in between, tries to crack our foundation and drive a wedge in between us like we just won’t have it.”
Kingston mentioned how different groups eventually get jealous of each other leading to break up like The Shield. Though according to him, it won’t happen to New Day because their foundation is too strong:
“It’s cool to have all the different groups but at a certain point in time, they get jealous of one or the other. And then they want to stab one in the back, or like you have with The Shield, someone hitting somebody with a chair, and they want to go off and do their thing, and that’s great, that’s fine. We’re not doing that, man. Our foundation is just too strong. “
