Paul Heyman says The Rock shouldn’t appear at WrestleMania 38

Paul Heyman recently discussed why he doesn’t think that The Rock should appear at WrestleMania 38 this weekend.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, Heyman explained why he feels it would be a mistake for The Great One to appear following the Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar match.

“Why?” Heyman replied when he was asked about the Rock returning at WrestleMania 38. “Why would you do it? And then you’re telling everybody that for the next 364 days nothing matters until The Rock” Heyman concluded.

The Rock vs Roman Reigns

There’s no doubt that getting The Rock vs Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 would be the biggest match of Roman’s career thus far. Arguably, it’s the biggest match that WWE could pull off right now.

Dwayne Johnson is no stranger to year-long builds to matches, as evidenced by his contest with John Cena back at WrestleMania 28.

Rocky vs Cena was announced the night after WrestleMania 27, so there’s the potential there for WWE to run with the same concept for The Great One vs Reigns.

We’ll just have to wait and see what WWE does following the main event between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar on Sunday’s WrestleMania Night 2 main event.
