Released WWE 205 Live star writes how ‘underappreciated’ the brand was

WWE released a number of talents this week in another round of ‘bulk’ firings. One of the talents let go was 205 Live Superstar Tony Nese, who was one of the bigger names on the purple brand having had stints on the likes of Monday Night RAW.

Tony Nese took to social media following his release from the company, saying that he is ready to be a hard working employee for whichever company he ends up with.

“Thank you everyone!” Tony Nese began on social media. “I don’t care about how unwatched and underappreciated 205 was.”

“I busted my ass every single time I stepped foot in the ring doing whatever was asked of me with no questions asked” Nese would add. “I can’t wait to be that type of employee for someone else.”

The massively talented Nese also has an impressive physique, which is a good indication that the likes of IMPACT, ROH, NJPW or AEW may well take a punt at the Cruiserweight star.

Tony Nese will have to now sit out a 90-day no compete clause. Several 205 Live performers only have 30 to 60 day clauses, however as noted Nese was one of the higher paid and known Superstars on the brand, so he has/had a bigger clause in his contract.

Other names released from the 205 Live brand include Ariya Daivari and August Grey. This week’s releases mainly focused on NXT and the purple brand, however more may be coming from the ‘main roster.’
