WWE Hall of Famer and wrestling legend Ric Flair recently heaped a massive amount of praise on a former WWE Superstar.
Speaking on his ‘To Be The Man’ podcast, Flair would praise new IWGP Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone, who, of course, used to be known as Sasha Banks.
‘I think it’s great. I think it’s great for business [for New Japan Pro Wrestling],” Flair would begin on his weekly podcast.
“In all fairness to everybody else, Sasha is one of the top four women performers alive right now”, the Nature Boy stated “and it’s not going to change tomorrow.
“I’m happy for her, and now she’s conquered two worlds, so I’m really happy for her”, Flair would conclude.

Mone won the IWGP Championship at the NJPW Battle of the Valley event from fellow WWE alumni KAIRI Sane.
There have been rumors that Mone is simply ‘getting it out of her system’ in New Japan and on the independent scene before returning to WWE, but right now, it appears as though she is happy with her position and looking to help push the promotion further into the Western territory.
