CM Punk left WWE on bitter terms, and people thought that he would never return to the company.
After his run at AEW however, many have started believing that the Straight Edge Star could be persuaded to make his comeback to the Vince McMahon-owned promotion. As far as Road Dogg is concerned, WWE will be ready to give him a second opportunity.
The WWE Senior Vice President of Live Events commented on the possibility of Punk’s return on the latest episode of his podcast. He explained that he has learned to never say never in such cases:
‘Never say never with these guys. They will give you a second chance. [WWE] will give you an opportunity if it’s business savvy, and bringing him back might be. The reason it might be is because he’s a needle mover.’
