Speculation has been rife regarding NXT 2.0 Superstar Roderick Strong and whether he will be leaving the company to go to AEW.
Strong recently opened up a PWTees store, something that would not be expected of a WWE contracted wrestler, which may indicate that he is indeed on his way out.
Dave Meltzer recently speculated on the future of the former NXT Cruiserweight Champion, saying that he doesn’t know if he will be staying with the company on Wrestling Observer Live.
‘WALTER will be facing Roderick Strong on Tuesday night. God, I hope they give this match time. I don’t know what the future is for Roderick strong, because, you know, Roderick Strong was the Cruiserweight Champion” Meltzer began.
“They’re getting rid of the cruiserweight belt. Clearly, they don’t want cruiserweights. And I believe Strong just opened up a PW Tees store, so I don’t know what the future is for this guy’¦” Meltzer concluded.
