Ronda Rousey: Former WWE manager criticises her SmackDown promo

WWE Superstar Ronda Rousey cut her first promo on SmackDown this week following her loss to Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 38.

Former behind the scenes man Dutch Mantell recently discussed the promo from Rousey, criticising her for not showing enough fire after losing at ‘Mania.

“Ronda Rousey needs a lot of help. She’s supposed to be a tough-a**. Why would your attitude change from the start gate to the ring and all of a sudden she’s kick-a** Ronda Rousey, when she smiled all the way down the ramp?” Mantell noted.

“It looks like she’s totally lost. She pauses, she’s trying to remember the promo. Some people cannot talk in front of crowds.

“She might talk okay in the dressing room because the pressure is off. When that pressure is on and the camera is on, and the mic is right there, I don’t think she handles it that well” Mantell concluded.

It’s a fairly common perception of the former UFC Champion, in that she struggles with a microphone in her hands.

The prospect of Rousey getting a manager is certainly intriguing, and having someone like a Paul Heyman alongside her would certainly add a new dimension to her on-screen character.
