Ronda Rousey will be competing at WrestleMania 39, as apparently her match has been ‘locked in’ ahead of the event in April.

Writing in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer revealed that Rousey would be competing for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at the event.

“For WrestleMania, the locked-in matches at this point are Reigns vs Rhodes for the Universal title, Charlotte Flair vs Ripley for the Smackdown women’s title, Belair vs the Chamber winner for the Raw women’s title, John Cena vs Austin Theory (no word on whether this will or won’t be a U.S. title match) and Iyo Sky & Dakota Kai vs Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler for the women’s tag team titles,” he wrote.

This would be a high-profile match for Damage Ctrl, who have been somewhat stagnant over the past few months without any genuine challengers.

Giving Rousey a run with the Tag Team Championships would also be good for her career right now, as she has proven that she is far better as a heel alongside Shayna Baszler rather than going it alone in the singles division.

It will likely be a few weeks before the company makes the match official on television, maybe even after Elimination Chamber from Montreal.
