WWE rumored to have major plans for Indie wrestling talent

Last updated

WWE appears to have some interesting plans when it comes to independent wrestling talent, at least according to a new rumor.

According to a new report/rumor from Xero News, the company will be looking at indie talent in 2023 in a change to its current recruitment policies.

“WWE has eyes across the country and the focus is back onto some Indy talent” the site claimed on Twitter this week.

“A tryout in Orlando with Indy talent takes place next week and 2023 will be a good year for Indy talent and tryouts” the site concluded.

Is WWE signing Indie talent again?

It’s worth noting that this rumor from Xero News is just that, a rumor, as we are unable to verify whether or not the report is legitimate at this time.

Pro wrestling is a variety show, so having a great mix of talent across the board is the best way to produce the most compelling television.

For every Braun Strowman, it’s worth having a Johnny Gargano, so having a greater emphasis on the indie scene again would be an excellent move for the company.

We’ll have to wait and see how this plays out, but with some of the recent returns that Triple H has pulled off it won’t be surprising to see some top talent from the likes of GCW make their way over.
