A top WWE NXT Superstar is reportedly likely to be called up in the very near future, according to a new rumour from a reputable source.
According to a new report/rumour from WRKD Wrestling, it appears as though Ilja Dragunov is likely to be getting brought up to the main roster around SummerSlam time.
“Adding to @PWInsidercom’s report about #WWENXT: Tiffany Stratton vs. Lyra Valkaria and Ilja Dragunov vs. Dijak were praised in particular backstage. There is still talk of possibly calling up Druganov following Summerslam, potentially joining Imperium” the account claimed on Twitter.

It’s worth noting that these rumours from WRKD Wrestling are just that, rumours, as we are unable to verify whether or not the report is legitimate at this time.
Dragunov of course has a massive history with the leader of IMPERIUM, Gunther, so it would be quite the sea change to see Ilja joining the group.
Having said that, we’ve seen WWE do this sort of thing in the past, so it wouldn’t be a massive shock for the company to put him with the group.
