Former WWE Superstar Ryback recently discussed his issues with CM Punk and why he believes that the beef between the two men began.

Speaking on Disco Inferno and Konnan’s K100 podcast, the former WWE Superstar revealed that he believes it was merchandise sales that caused the rift.

‘We got along great, I thought, prior to that. I can tell you, him and Cena were the two highest merch sellers when I came up and I got hot” he began.

Ryback on CM Punk Issues

“I’ll never forget he came over to me when the merch guys were showing me the numbers, and Punk became aware of it and he goes, ’˜Holy s***.’ From that point forward, I felt like everything changed with everything” he added.

“It’s unfortunate. Colt Cabana actually apologized to me for all of that. I worked with top guys my whole time, even no matter where I was at on the card, live events, I was with top guys from the beginning to end” Ryback concluded.

Ryan Reeves himself has been campaigning for a match against Goldberg at some point this year, and there’s no indication that it could take place at the AEW ALL OUT event in London, but there’s rumours it may well happen.
