Seth Rollins has opened up about his problems with Cody Rhodes
The Visionary had a rivalry with the American Nightmare last year. Rhodes, who had just returned to the company faced Rollins on multiple occasions and defeated Seth in three PPV matches. During a recent interview, Cody had revealed that he had some backstage heat with Rollins and it’s the closest he has come to it ‘turning into a fistfight’ with any talent.
Seth Rollins held the fort down
Rollins spoke to Daniel Cormier for ESPN (H/t WrestlingNews.co) while doing the WrestleMania media rounds. The former world champion was asked about the incident with Cody Rhodes. He said that he can’t get into it:
“I can’t get into that. So many details on that. There is a level of truth to that. The bottom line is, I feel, based on my body of work and what I’ve contributed to this company over the course of this last decade really, I should be in that position, right?”
The former world champion explained how he held down the fort while Cody ‘drifted off’ and did his own thing. He feels like he should be the one facing Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania:
“I’m the one who has held it down while he drifted off and went and did his own thing, respect to him, great. He drifted off and did his own thing, I’m the one who held it down. Whenever everybody got hurt or did something else or went off or took part-time schedules or wanted to do less and ask for more or wanted to go somewhere else because they weren’t happy.”
