WWE has reportedly released Shane McMahon following the Royal Rumble event from this past weekend in St Louis.

Ringside News recently reported that Shane McMahon was no longer going to be factoring in to creative ideas.

Prior to this, McMahon was expected to be part of WrestleMania 38, but he will no longer be part of the event in any way.

Ringside News wrote: “A tenured member of the creative team informed us that writers were told in a ‘semi-quiet way’ that ‘there will be no more creative discussions about Shane McMahon.’ They have now ‘moved on to other creative discussions.’

The source for RN noted that there was a lot of issues with Shane backstage. “Vince had no choice. Shane created chaos, had everyone in an uproar, pissed off everyone in the Rumble, openly buried other producers, and was changing things that Vince wanted. Vince had no other choice but to send him home.”
