TOP WWE STAR dealing with ‘SIGNIFICANT’ injury

Last updated

Sheamus has been off WWE TV due to a serious injury.

The Celtic Warrior has not wrestled for the company since the August 18th episode of SmackDown. He competed in a match against Edge at the show which could potentially be the Rated R Superstar’s last match for the company.

When recent reports came out that the Irish Star’s WWE contract is set to expire in 2024, many started speculating about his future. His absence from WWE programming provoked many to think that he may also be on his way out of the promotion.

Sheamus: His Current Injury in WWE

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter has provided a different reason for his absence, however. According to Meltzer, Sheamus is actually out of action due to a ‘significant’ shoulder injury. He also recently posted a photo with a neck brace:

He also commented on the rumours about the former champion’s future writing that “there were a lot of stories circulating about him and his future this past week but he is under contract until well into 2024.”

WWE will have the right to further add time to Sheamus’ contract for the period he is missing due to the injury. With no timetable for his return as of yet, it’s unlikely that his deal will be coming up anytime soon.
