WWE NXT 2.0 has been teasing the introduction of a new character in the next few weeks, and we now know who it will be.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, Fabian Aichner will be taking the role of Giovanni Vinci when he re-debuts on NXT 2.0 programming.
“As speculated, Fightful has learned that Fabian Aichner of Imperium fame is slated for the role, after being off of television for several months” the site revealed.
“Fightful reported in April that Aichner was set to be repackaged in a new character. But, the nature of it was unclear.
“Vignettes aired highlighting the new character, down to him wearing the same watch he did in an interview with us in April. The voice in the vignettes is not that of Aichner” Fightful concluded.
NXT 2.0 New Character
It will be interesting to see if WWE will be going full steam ahead with Aichner’s new character. After he was dropped from Imperium, it was believed that he would be next on the chopping block.
With Gunther and Lugwig Kaiser now on SmackDown; this is the chance for the former Imperium member to establish himself as a singles star on the developmental brand.
