WWE mainstay Stephanie McMahon recently revealed that she would be leaving the company temporarily to spend time with her family.
Taking to Twitter, McMahon revealed: “As of tomorrow, I am taking a leave of absence from the majority of my responsibilities at WWE.
“WWE is a lifelong legacy for me and I look forward to returning to the company that I love after taking this time to focus on my family.”

In an update from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, we now know more about the situation and if her colleagues were aware of her leaving ahead of the announcement:
“There were definitely a few people who knew and knew the background, but they weren’t saying much past there is more to it but the basic reasons given were not inaccurate” Dave Meltzer revealed in the newsletter.
“The part about leaving to focus on her family is definitely part of it. It was obviously a tough year with Paul Levesque being out for so long and she had to pick up a lot of his responsibilities and obviously had to deal from a family standpoint with his health issues.
“There is no time frame for her to return but we were told she is returning. All kinds of speculation has transpired, but the only thing we were told directly is that this was 100 per cent her choice, and this has been coming for some time” it was revealed.
