Steve Austin not interested in returning to WWE in a full-time capacity.
The Texas Rattlesnake is arguably the biggest star pro wrestling has ever produced. Even two decades after his retirement from the ring, Stone Cold Steve Austin remains one of the most over names with the crowd.
This is why many people feel that the company should bring him back on a more permanent basis. While a full-time wrestling return is out of the question, fans would not mind seeing him on the commentary desk or as a manager.
Steve Austin doesn’t want to be on the road again
The former world champion was asked about this during his appearance on the SI Media podcast. Steve Austin responded by saying that he doesn’t want to live his life on the road again:
‘Right now, off the top of my head, I say no, because I don’t want to put the time into living my life back on the road again. I rode that road hard. I loved that lifestyle, I worked my ass off, I put my body on the line, and I ran hard.”
Austin discussed how he still does some travel for his other ventures. He explained that he will entertain any kind of business offer but he doesn’t want to get on the road full time again:
“I still want to work and I still want to be productive. I’m in the beer business. I have three beers with El Segundo Brewing Company, I work with Kawasaki, and I’ve got some other private ventures that I’m into. I don’t want to get out on the road again. I’ve been there and I’ve done it, and I ran hard.’
