WWE legend and one of the biggest movie stars on the planet The Rock recently denied that he has been in talks for a match with Roman Reigns at some point for the Universal Championship.

The Great One was being rumoured to face Roman Reigns for the title at either WrestleMania 38 or 39, with 39 looking like the more likely candidate.

During an interview with Andrew Freund of Dish Nation, The Rock confirmed that he has not actually been in talks, at this point anyway.

“I can tell you that there is no truth to that right now. Possibly down the road, we will see,’ Dwayne Johnson revealed. ‘We stay very close, myself and Roman Reigns, and I’m very happy, very proud for the work that he’s doing, as well as The Usos, my other family members.

“So those guys will continue to do what they’re doing, and we’ll see down the road” the former WWE Champion concluded.
