WWE SmackDown Superstar Toni Storm recently spoke to Kayla Braxton on the latest episode of Talking Smack. Storm made her SmackDown debut this week, defeating Zelina Vega during the show.

Toni would discussed several topics on the show, including her look that is inspired by bands of the 80s, including hair metal and glam.

“Okay, well I guess the story starts with my mom never really grew up” Toni Storm began, describing where she gets the influence for her style.

“She never grew out of the 80s. Every story she would tell me growing up it was just all about the stuff she would get up to in the 1980s” Storm added.

“Talk about the music and the culture and everything, and it really inspired me as a kid” Toni Storm revealed. “Then, when I got into wrestling, so I just thought I’m a huge 80s glam fan, I’m going to go all out with this.”

“You can probably smell the hairspray. I’m highly flammable. All thanks to my mom” the Australian star would jokingly finish.

Prior to her joining SmackDown, the former PROGRESS Women’s Champion was a big part of the inception of NXT UK. After a few years on the brand, Storm was moved up to NXT, where she appeared in sporadic moments and feuds before finally getting the chance to appear on the bigger stage of FOX network.

A recent report confirmed that Storm will be appearing as a babyface for her initial run on SmackDown, after appearing as a heel for the entirety of her time in NXT.
