Triple H: Former head of NXT said brand had “real” performers

Last updated

Former head of WWE NXT Triple H reportedly made some bold claims about the brand back when they signed the deal to start airing on USA Network.

Speaking on The Sessions with Renee Paquette, former NXT Superstar Kyle O’Reilly revealed that Triple H compared the developmental show to Broadway.

“When NXT got its TV deal, there was something Hunter said that I loved when he compared NXT to the main roster” O’Reilly began.

“He said NXT was like the broadway show. It’s where the real performers get out there. They’ve got the chops, they can act, they can sing, they can dance, they can do it all, and there are no special effects” O’Reilly revealed of Triple H.

“There are no big-budget blockbuster movie special effects that are hiding it all like RAW and Smackdown would be. I just thought that was such a great analogy, and it really rang true” O’Reilly concluded.

RAW is broadcast each and every Monday night, and fans in the United Kingdom can watch the show with a monthly BT Sport subscription.

SmackDown is also available on BT Sport every Friday; again for fans who are subscribed to the monthly service that can sometimes be bundled with BT Broadband.

NXT 2.0 and WWE NXT UK are available to watch on Tuesdays and Thursdays respectively on WWE Network in the United Kingdom. The shows are also available on Peacock in the United States.
