WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin has been rumoured for the WrestleMania 38 event for quite some time, and now we know what his role will be.

Whilst initial rumours indicated that Austin would be wrestling against Kevin Owens at the event, it appears that he will now be part of a KO Show segment in Dallas, Texas.

Owens called out Steve Austin at the end of this week’s episode of WWE RAW, and whilst it is quite the comedown from expecting Austin to actually wrestle, we do now know that he will at least be at the biggest event of the year.

PWInsider originally reported back in February that WWE had reached out to Austin to see if he was interested in wrestling at the show.

Mike Johnson wrote: “For those asking about the stories making the rounds this evening about WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin potentially wrestling at Wrestlemania 38 this April, there is some truth to the story in that WWE reached out to Austin in late December/early January to gauge his interest in doing something at the show.

“PWInsider.com is told that as of today, Austin still has yet to commit to wrestling.”

There is a chance that Austin may counter the challenge from KO to appear for a segment with a match, but it doesn’t look like this is the case at this time.
