This week’s episode of WWE RAW was the first ever in company history without Vince McMahon as the Head of Creative, but was he backstage?
According to a new report from PWInsider, we now know exactly who was actually backstage for the event itself.
“Obviously, Vince McMahon is not backstage at Raw in NYC. I don’t believe anyone reading this will be shocked to hear this” the site revealed ahead of the show.
“Stephanie McMahon and Triple H are backstage overseeing the show. Shane McMahon, who we have gotten a lot of emails about today, has not been seen at the taping” the site concluded.

It’s not likely that we will McMahon anywhere near the backstage area in the following weeks, if not months.
McMahon revealed that he had retired from the company last week, amid allegations of misconduct and paying ‘hush money’ to former employees.
Although Vince might appear in a non-official role at some point, we can see him wanting to remain away from the live events for some time.
