Former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon reportedly stopped a major WWE Superstar from competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Speaking to Sean Ross Sapp, Bobby Lashley revealed that he wanted a return to MMA but it was shot down by the former WWE owner.

“It’s still in me. I saw the last UFC event where Vince and Stephanie were sitting ringside” the WWE United States Champion began.

“I was in the stands and texting Vince, ‘can I get in there?’ And he was like ‘ahhhhh'” Lashley concluded, confirming that McMahon wasn’t planning on letting it happen.

Lashley of course has a strong background in MMA, having competed for the likes of Bellator and Strikeforce, and clearly, he wants a return.

WWE would be taking a risk by letting him enter the octagon, so I can certainly understand why McMahon and probably Triple H would be hesitant to do so.
