It was recently reported that Vince McMahon actually wanted to bury a current WWE title on television before he left his role in Creative.
According to a recent report from WrestleVotes, McMahon had already soured on Gunther and was looking to bury him on television.
“Following his appearance on RAW on 7/4, those in power at the time really soured on Gunther for whatever ridiculous reason” the Twitter account revealed.
“To the point where a burial on TV was coming. Just a month later and quite the difference’¦” WrestleVotes concluded.

It’s no surprise that the former WWE Chairman had already taken a look at someone and decided that he didn’t like them.
Thankfully, Gunther has been able to have some great appearances on television as the Intercontinental Champion recently, including his match against Shinsuke Nakamura this week.
Hopefully, the former PROGRESS World Champion will be able to maintain his run he is on and then move on to even bigger things.
Whilst Triple H might not be the complete answer to all of WWE’s problems, thank god that he is now in charge of Creative if Vince was making decisions like this every week!
