Former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is reportedly plotting a huge return to the company after he was forced to retire in 2022.
According to a new report from the Wall Street Journal, McMahon is looking at how he can make a sensational return.
“Vince McMahon plans to return to WWE following his retirement in 2022 amid a sexual-harassment scandal in order to pursue a sale of the business, sources say. $WWE” is what WSJ journalist Lauren Thomas tweeted.
Is Vince McMahon returning to WWE?
“McMahon, who has majority voting power through his ownership of WWE’s Class-B stock, has told the company that he’s electing himself and two former co-presidents and directors, Michelle Wilson and George Barrios, to WWE’s board. He will also seek to become executive chairman. $WWE” she added.
There are many who will not be happy to hear this, including a ton of people backstage where the atmosphere has completely changed since McMahon originally left.
With McMahon still being a major shareholder in the company, there probably won’t be too much in the way of roadblocks to making this happen, should he so wish.
