Former WWE CEO Vince McMahon recently confirmed that he would be resigning from the company, but there is doubt that he will genuinely leave.

Speaking on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that there is a lot of talk in the industry and business world that McMahon isn’t really losing any power.

‘There are so many questions, some of which are answerable and some of which…well, time will tell” Meltzer would begin on the podcast.

“But as it turns out, you know, I mean there were’¦The people I was out with tonight are, you know, pretty savvy business people here, with major companies.

Vince McMahon Retires

“Two of them just said, flat-out: ‘Co-CEOs never work,’ which was an interesting thing” Meltzer would reveal.

“One of them said that whatever anyone says, the guy who owns the most shares is still the guy who, in the end, has the power.

“Vince, unless he divests himself, and he has not done that and I don’t believe he is going to do that until there is a sale” Meltzer concluded.

Has McMahon really given up all of his power in the company? Only time will tell.
