Fans were hoping that The Rock would be appearing at the WWE Survivor Series 2021 PPV event. And to be fair, WWE had gone out of their to almost ensure that the Great One would be making somewhat of an appearance on the night.
The Survivor Series event marked the 25th anniversary of The Rock debuting on WWE programming, and there were multiple video packages of the former WWE Champion throughout the night.
The Rock could not appear on the show as he is currently in Australia filming for the series Young Rock. Dave Meltzer confirmed this on an episode of Wrestling Observer Radio.
‘Dwayne’s out of the country and he can’t come back. They’re doing a movie and he can’t go back and forth because of quarantine. There was no way he could be at the show tonight” Meltzer revealed.
