WWE changes the name of SmackDown Superstar

WWE appears to have changed the name of an up and coming Superstar on the SmackDown roster, who will be in action tonight for HIAC.

SmackDown Superstar Madcap Moss now only appears to be going under the name Madcap. The performer appeared on the show this week to challenge Happy Corbin to a match at Hell in a Cell.

The commentators were referring to the Superstar as just ‘Madcap’ during the segments that he was on television.

The graphic for Madcap’s match at HIAC against Corbin also only read ‘Madcap,’ but that isn’t quite the end of the story.

SmackDown Superstar Name Change

As of writing, Madcap Moss is still the name of the WWE Superstar on Twitter. Also, when WWE.com posted the official announcement about the HIAC match, he was referred to with Moss in his name.

It’s likely that WWE will change this at some point, as they have been getting rid of surnames quite a lot recently.

There have also been rumours circulating with regards to Corbin, and WWE may also be looking to just refer to him as ‘Happy’ going forward.

No, seriously.
