DIY’s success was not without its trials. The team broke up in May following a surprise attack by Ciampa on Gargano at TakeOver: Chicago, leading to a feud between the two’‹.

A Series of Reunions

Despite their differences, Gargano and Ciampa have occasionally reunited since 2019. With Ciampa’s anticipated return to WWE programming, fans can expect a more permanent reunion of DIY’‹.

The Return of Ciampa

Ciampa’s last wrestling match was at a live event in Bakersfield, California, on September 17, 2022. His last TV match saw him teaming with the Miz to score a disqualification win over Lashley and AJ Styles on the August 22, 2022, episode of WWE Raw’‹.

Ciampa later revealed in October that he would be undergoing surgery for a torn hip labrum. The timing was unfortunate, as the injury occurred shortly after Gargano’s return to WWE.
