WWE Draft: Major rumor on ‘brand specific’ PPVs

Last updated

The WWE Draft is set to take place this week and a major rumor regarding ‘brand specific’ Premium Live Events is now doing the rounds.

According to a new report/rumor from WKRD Wrestling, the company has been discussing the option of having separate RAW and SmackDown PLE shows going forward.

“One format discussed after the announcement of the draft and the introduction of the new World Heavyweight championship on #WWERaw is the idea of potential brand exclusive premium live monthly events.”

WWE Draft Rumors

It’s worth noting that this rumor from WRKD Wrestling is just that, a rumor, as we are unable to verify whether or not the report is legitimate at this time.

There were brand-specific events in the past in the late 2000s and mid-2010s, but these were not exactly a major success.

The company could decide to do a ‘soft’ split of the rosters for PLE shows and not mention it on RAW or SmackDown, but that isn’t likely to happen as someone like Roman Reigns really needs to be on every show they can get him on.
