The WWE Draft tends to be one of the biggest weeks of the year for the company, but it’s looking like there won’t be one in 2022.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, the event is being planned to take place just after WrestleMania 39 in April 2023.
“USA Network sources have told talent that the Draft isn’t happening in the immediate future, have outright stated to that after WrestleMania is a likelier landing spot” the site revealed.
“WWE had not officially announced the Draft, and hasn’t given us a confirmation about any of the dates, and talent hasn’t been given a heads up about anything happening in the coming weeks” Fightful concluded.
WWE Draft Date
Whatever the company decides to do, at least it won’t be like previous years where there is a Draft and then a couple of weeks later is the Survivor Series event.
There’s nothing more ridiculous from recent years’ WWE booking than people fighting for ‘their brand’ when they’ve only been on SmackDown or RAW for a couple of weeks.
Hopefully, we’re going to get a change to that situation this year, even if the Draft takes place in early September or in 2023.
