According to recent reports, there appears to be even more cuts coming on the WWE and NXT rosters in the next few weeks and months.
WWE has released talents across the RAW, SmackDown, NXT and 205 Live this year, with some main event names, such as Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman, getting the axe.
Dave Meltzer recently reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that there are more ‘big names’ on the NXT roster that are on the chopping block.
There won’t however be too much of a change at the top of the developmental division, with WrestleVotes revealing that Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Matt Bloom and William Regal will still be running things in Florida.
“After talking to sources regarding NXT: the day to day operation isn’t changing that drastically. Still very much in the hands of HHH, HBK, Regal, Bloom etc. However, the look of the weekly TV product will have a ‘Vince & Co’ stamp on it. I expect it to be subtle to start’¦ then?”

WWE NXT names on the chopping block
The NXT brand will be getting a complete revamp starting on the September 14th episode. That show will be live and will include the wedding of Dexter Lumis and Indi Hartwell.
Meltzer did not confirm who some of the bigger names set to be released are, but we will likely hear more over the next week or so.
Fans have speculated that the likes of Johnny Gargano and Kyle O’Reilly may be on their way out, as these Superstars do not fit the ‘mould’ of what WWE is reportedly looking for in a modern WWE Superstar.
