WWE are offering some unique contracts to talent outside of the company, apparently in an attempt to try and shake things up.
We have been told by a source that the company are ‘actively’ sending out one-time appearance contracts to stars outside the company.
This is quite the sea change to the previous regime when Vince McMahon was running creative as well as being the Chairman of the company. Essentially, this would never have happened back when McMahon had overall say, but it could happen in this new ‘era.’
WWE offering interesting contracts to outside talent
We haven’t yet been able to establish who some of the talents are that the company are potentially looking to bring in, but it is likely to affect the Royal Rumble this weekend.
It’s worth noting that this plan might not actually come to fruition, as there are constant changes in the company on a day-by-day basis.
Still, right now, the indication is that there will be some one-off appearances during the Rumble event this weekend.
I will hopefully be able to get more on this in the coming days, and I will update this page as and when more is known about how this may well work in practice.
In all likelihood, this will be a one-time deal to get some names for the Rumble that could evolve into longer-term deals.
