WWE reportedly has year-long plans for storylines after WrestleMania 39 and we may have gotten some hints of it during this week’s Raw.

FightFans exclusively reported earlier this month that WWE is already discussing Roman Reigns vs Solo Sikoa match for WrestleMania 40.

WWE then hinted at big plans for Solo on the latest episode of Raw. Last night’s show saw Reigns having a heated confrontation with Cody Rhodes.

Sikoa briefly acted on his own during this segment and went after Cody. While Roman eventually talked the former NXT champion out of this clash, it clearly indicates that big things are in store for The Street Champion.

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio (H/t WrestleTalk), Bryan Alvarez discussed the potential implications of this segment. Supporting our story, he said that the company appears to have their post-Mania plans set:

‘I will say this, from watching the Friday show and watching this segment here, it is clear’¦ from watching these two shows is that they have a post-Mania plan.”

Plans after WrestleMania

Dave Meltzer would confirm this theory, saying that “They have a year of post-Mania plans.’ Alvarez would then explain how this Mania build has been different than others in recent times:

‘This is not something where we’re gonna do Mania and then the creative team, Hunter and Vince and whoever is going to wake up and be ’˜what the f*ck are we gonna do now? ’˜They’ve been planting a lot of seeds into this plan over the last couple of days.”

Reports also suggest a planned trilogy between Jey Uso and The Tribal Chief post-Mania. As with anything, however, these plans could always change according to circumstances.
